Veerle Wilms

Veerle Wilms is a PhD student at the Psychology of Language department at the MPI. She grew up in Helden, a village in Limburg (the Netherlands) and moved to Nijmegen to study English Language and Culture at the Radboud University. After developing an interest in linguistics, she enrolled in the Linguistics and Communication Sciences research master, also at the Radboud University. Her master’s thesis focused on audio-visual communication in background noise.

In her free time, Veerle likes to swim, shop, cook, talk, drink tea, hike, and watch tv-series. She recently got a dog of which she is happy to show cute pictures to everyone.
