Ronny Bujok

Ronny is a PhD student in the Psychology of Language Department at the MPI, where he studies speech perception. He investigates what sources of information contribute to the perception of lexical stress, how they are integrated in the brain, and how they influence speech comprehension as a whole. Before he started his PhD in September 2019, he did his Bachelor in Psychology at the University of Bielefeld and his Master in Cognitive Neuroscience at the Radboud University in Nijmegen, where he also focussed primarily on language and communication.

If he’s not doing anything language related, Ronny likes to do a lot of things with varying degrees of consistency. Some of his more consistent hobbies are going to festivals, traveling, cooking, baking, working out, bouldering and hiking (preferably in the forest or mountains). If the time of the year and weather allow it he will also pick wild plants, berries or mushrooms to cook some delicious meals.
